Human rights education (HRE) is an emergent field of educational theory and practice gaining increased attention and significance across the globe. HRE supports the international human rights movement through the promotion of awareness about and practices consistent with the rights accorded by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and related human rights conventions.
