First page of Esperanza School and the People Who Matter

In order to create an in-depth portrait of Esperanza School, I first provide a physical description of the school. I then present the history of Esperanza School, its social mission components, and most importantly, I present the people who have been involved with Esperanza School, the people who matter, a founder, a principal, a U.S. American teacher, a Honduran teacher and five preservice teachers. They all have been part of Esperanza School and have seen how this grassroots community school is an example of a revolution in schooling. I present these people through portraits that will take you inside the school in a way that no other literature does.
