First page of Experiences of a Black Female Professor Against Racism<xref ref-type="fn" alt="Footnote 1" rid="book-978-1-61735-562-220251016-fn001"><sup>1</sup></xref>

To focus on racism against one who is black in a Brazilian female life’s trajectory requires, initially, approaching the concept of the term “racism.” The transdisciplinary theoretical configuration, added to the methodological resource of the narrative interview, enabled the understanding of how racism echoed on a black woman’s daily life in different moments of her life course. She was also able to capture and elaborate theoretical meanings concerning her social experiences. These elaborations were observed when, in order to re-write aspects of her personal history, which are integrated in social history, she made comments about the elaborations during meetings with the researcher.
