Welcome to the world of the first responder. Harm’s way can be hell! We are dedicated professionals who answered the call to protect our homeland’s most cherished values of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” without fear. We seldom talk about our work in harm’s way with even our closest friends and family because they would not understand without being there. We have agreed to talk about our work with Dr. Graen and his fellow researchers because they’ve been there and they intend to use our experiences in harm’s way to better prepare the next generation of first responders.
