Abstract
The roots of youth involvement in evaluation processes can be traced formally to events within the last 20 years. While increased efforts and attention to exploring and documenting Youth Participatory Evaluation (YPE) practices and models have emerged, there remain essential questions of which evaluators, organizational staff, and funders have difficulty making sense. This chapter, alongside a historical account, will lend insights into the following questions: “Why should youth be engaged in evaluative processes?”; “In which aspects of evaluation can youth participate?”; “How can it be done effectively?”; and “What resources are available to support youth involvement in evaluation?”
