The professional development school (PDS) partnership between the University of North Texas and the Denton ISD used the principles of the Holmes Group and the NCATE PDS standards to maintain and sustain a researchbased PDS. Across time, the PDS grew to include an international connection to Latin America and continued its research agenda. The development of the International Teacher-to-Teacher Exchange program brought Denton ISD and Guatemalan teachers together to study mathematics teaching and learning. Two studies from the program are detailed and show changes in both teacher populations across a two-year period. The internationally extended program continues to align with the standards applied in the original PDS.
