First page of Moral Development<subtitle />

The focus of this chapter will be on moral development, and more specifically, Kohlberg’s theory of moral development. Within higher education and especially psychology, moral development is highly researched and cited. While there are several moral development theories, it is fair to say that Lawrence Kohlberg’s theory of moral development is the most dominant and most frequently cited and consolidated theory in this domain. In a half of a second, a Google search of moral development will produce 95,000,000 results. A majority of the results either directly explain or refer to Kohl-berg’s theory or refer to research related to moral development that cites his theory.
