Chapter 23: Punakha Dzong

Our country, Bhutan, is well known to the outside world. In fact it was prophesied in the scriptures that in times to come, the name and fame of Bhutan, the Druk-Yul, will spread over the entire world. Already our country has been declared as one of the ten global hot spots due to the richness of its living art, architecture, culture and traditions. Though a very small and a land-locked country, Bhutan and its living heritage in terms of its art, architecture and culture offer one of the rarest and most unique examples of living heritage on the face of the globe which needs to be preserved, protected and promoted.
