First page of Gha-Key (Happiness), Gandhi, And Buddhism

The modesty and simplicity with which Gandhi lived his life can be compared to a highly venerated Buddhist monk and in fact some do regard him as a reincarnation of Bodhisattva. It is by no happenstance, therefore, to find that most of what he practiced and preached was in many ways similar to great Buddha’s teaching. Gandhi was not only an influential preacher but a stringent practitioner of peace, love, non-violence and integrity in the history of mankind. His influence was not only limited to liberating fellow citizens from the clutches of colonialism but also extended to non-violent social change to bring about liberty for all through the creation of a relevant socio-eco-political order.
