Peer education is a pivotal tool in socially just leadership education in campus settings because it engages students across multitudes of intersecting identities and functional areas. Thus, peer education should be prioritized within the institutional context as a strategy for leadership educators. Grounded in leadership theory, this chapter will contextualize peer leadership experiences and provide recommendations for practitioners seeking to create socially just educational opportunities for their student populations. By utilizing components of the integrated model for critical leadership, culturally relevant leadership learning, and relational leadership models as frameworks, I align peer education outcomes with the central tenets of these leadership models of interest to illustrate how peer leadership contributes to socially just and culturally relevant leadership education.
