With the advent of time, the traditional human resource (HR) practices faded to meet the advances and requisites of keeping the pace with the ongoing revolution in the HR industry. This evolution from traditional practices to digital twin-driven approaches have significantly marked a change in the way businesses handle their employees. This chapter examines the transformation of human resource management (HRM) from traditional practices to the contemporary digital twin-driven methodologies. It explores the key characteristics, benefits, and challenges at each stage of evolution, highlighting how digital twin technology revolutionizes HRM. It also imparts an analysis of the strategic consequences of this transition for the success of organizations and suggests a paradigm for adopting HRM powered by digital twins. However, both concepts under investigation are gaining increasing attention in the literature, and the research gap widens further when considering their associated perspectives. Moreover, there is a notable lack of literature that focuses on the negative aspects of this advanced technology. This chapter proposes a framework for showing the evolution stages and the smooth transition of HR practices from traditional to modern.
