Chapter 10: The Practice of Quality 4.0 in China

Amid the global wave of digital transformation in manufacturing, China has seized the opportunity presented by Quality 4.0, accelerating the reform of quality management models driven by both policy empowerment and technological advancement. Research interests surrounding quality management and digitalization continue to rise, forming a research system that spans theory, technology, and application evaluation. This chapter systematically presents the current landscape of Quality 4.0 development in China by analyzing both common and industry-specific challenges of enterprise transformation, as well as adaptation strategies for key enabling technologies across sectors. Through the practice of China Association for Quality, it demonstrates how Quality 4.0 empowers the sustained development and innovation of business practices. Finally, the chapter proposes an implementation pathway and safeguard mechanisms for the strategic upgrading of Quality 4.0, focusing on the construction of standard systems, ecosystem collaboration, intelligent scenario applications, and the cultivation of quality talent.
