First page of India: Bridging the Wealth Divide – The Ambani Family and India’s Pursuit Towards the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goal 10

India is the most populated country in the World. Many family businesses in India are contributing to India’s developmental goal financially, socially and environmentally. India’s most valuable family-owned businesses have evolved significantly, reflecting the dynamic changes in the country’s economy and society in recent years. Being the cornerstone of the Indian economic framework, family businesses are at the forefront of innovation and growth, substantially contributing to the nation’s GDP (Gupta, 2024). An example of one of those family businesses is the Ambani family, specifically the most renowned businessman Mr. Mukesh Ambani, the CEO of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), which will be the focus of this case study.
