The potential of Africa’s cultural and creative industries to drive development has gained attention in literature and among development commentators. However, there has been limited focus on how entrepreneurs and economic stakeholders can leverage Africa’s cultural assets to create business opportunities. This chapter uses a case study approach to explore the success story of Terra Kulture. It aims to understand how Terra Kulture has harnessed and promoted cultural elements in Nigeria to create business opportunities and enhance economic prosperity. The chapter found that cultural nuances of Nigerian society have been leveraged to develop a theatre group, movie production unit, event centre, gallery and restaurant. It highlights the need for robust policies and infrastructure to support the creative industry. Furthermore, the potential impact on Nigeria’s gross domestic product (GDP) and job creation underscores the importance of allocating resources and providing incentives to promote growth in the sector. Terra Kulture’s achievements in job creation, talent development, and economic stimulation demonstrate that the creative industry can drive sustainable development and promote national identity with the right support.
