The technological revolution in I5.0 has transformed how we view personalization. The integration of technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and digital twin technology is allowing businesses to create highly tailored products. This includes personalized recommendations, targeted marketing campaigns, and immersive experiences in the metaverse. The chapter further analyzes various techniques and models in personalization, like collaborative filtering, content-based filtering, and hybrid approaches. Technological advancements also bring many challenges. Concerns like data privacy, hesitancy to share personal information, and irrelevant personalization can impact the content of personalization. The ethical implications of AI personalization, like potential biases and discriminatory outcomes, require careful attention. It is important to balance the benefits of personalization with individual’s privacy rights and equitable access to personalized services.
