Abstract
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in the architectural design processes has contributed to optimized efficiency and precision. However, there is a wide consensus that AI has limitations when tackling social aspects. In Saudi Arabia, a massive portion of the population has special needs, particularly mobility impairments. Governmental and private schools provide services for children with special needs, focusing on inclusive educational programs. However, there is a desire to promote blended education with peers with special needs. This chapter aims to investigate the efficiency of integrating Al tools in the design process to enhance social challenges for high school students with mobility impairments in schools in Saudi Arabia. The chapter methodology will be through experiencing and testing multiple ChatGPT-generated descriptives inserted in MidJourney to produce AI-generated pictures. The descriptive input to ChatGPT to generate the prompts will be based on special needs social challenges in secondary schools. The expected outcomes are an assessment and a form of a framework to validate the ability of AI to be utilized in conceptual design tools to generate socially considerate design in the context of mobility impairment.
