Mentoring is a unique relationship between two people, evident throughout history in various forms. Perhaps the most famous among them has been that between Socrates and Plato. Socrates had a profound influence on Plato, which is clear from Plato’s works, that continue to reflect Socrates’ genius, even though Socrates himself left no written records. The present world is too complex to lead without the guidance of an expert mentor, which is why the demand for coaches is seen to increase in every field. The present case revolves around the experience of Dr Neeraj Sharma, a Life Coach and a Sports and Exercise doctor based out of Wales. He has developed a unique niche in mentoring the subjects approaching him, particularly in human performance. He gives both online and in-person sessions. The case has taken some real-life evidence from his experience and brought out lessons on mentoring and coaching. In the process, the authors have delved into the various theories that Dr Sharma uses as a part of his coaching journey.
