My name is Sanele Khanyile. I was born in 1995 in a Hospital located in Madadeni a township in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal. I find my identity intricately woven into the vibrant nation of Zulu culture and tradition. My roots trace back to a lineage steeped in rich history and heritage, shaping the essence of who I am and how I navigate the world around me. I am a product of my ancestry, embodying the resilience and strength that define the Zulu people.
Zulu culture is a wide range of customs, beliefs, and practices that have been passed down through generations, each contributing to the colourful culture that defines our identity as a people. From the rhythmic beats of traditional music to the intricate beadwork adorning our attire, every aspect of Zulu culture reflects a deep connection to our land, our ancestors, and our community. Our customs and rituals, such as the sacred ceremonies honouring our ancestors and the vibrant celebrations of life’s milestones, serve as pillars of strength, grounding us in our heritage and guiding us through life’s journey.
