11: Subjectivity and Rural Development: Challenges and Opportunities

This final chapter integrates the contributions presented in this book. It concludes by showing how the analysis of the different chapters in this book demonstrates how the processes of subjectivation and human development are culturally mediated by the context in which the participants have developed throughout their lives. It shows how rural contexts are a rich setting for exploring individual and collective psychological development phenomena. Finally, some challenges and future guidelines for research are presented.
