Abstract
Organizational ambidexterity (OA), which is the ability of firms to balance exploratory innovation with exploitative efficiency, has remained crucial for sustaining competitiveness in dynamic economies. The current systematic literature review (SLR) follows bibliometric analysis with Planning, Operationalizing, Writing, Embedding and Reflecting (POWER) framework to critically examine the intellectual landscape OA research. It analyses 625 Scopus-indexed articles from 2004 to 2024 through bibliometric indicators such as citation analysis, geographical evolution, content analysis, bibliographic coupling and keyword co-occurrence analysis using VOSviewer and Biblioshiny. The key findings include the growth trends, influential countries, pivotal papers, leading journals, key research themes and emerging future research directions. The study lays foundations for understanding the domain vis-à-vis the future research agenda into emerging themes of OA, including ambidextrous leadership, sustainable practices, supply chain ambidexterity and global innovation.
