Tourism has become one of the significant sources of income for many countries, i.e., Thailand, Indonesia and Sri Lanka. Tourism has immense potential to contribute to developing nations by boosting local economies. However, it got thrashed by COVID-19 but was given fuel to work from home or anywhere. Companies have devised many ideas to motivate and make their employees happy, such as meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions (MICE), and bleisure. The chapter inspects to identify the opportunities and challenges linked with bleisure tourism and the advantage of big data on bleisure travellers. The study is a conceptual paper that discusses how big data help in bleisure and the opportunities and challenges it presents to the Indian government. The study investigates a comprehensive literature, including reports from different agencies, government reports, and publications. The Indian tourism department comprehends the potential of bleisure tourism, particularly within the MICE sector. It has implemented policies such as the National Tourism Policy 2047 to enhance tourism infrastructure and services. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and working from home/anywhere, the bleisure market is projected to grow 19.5% Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) from 2024 to 2034. The study helps the government. Policymakers and private players know how to use big data to ensure safety and develop infrastructure which suits the bleisure industry. Stakeholders can develop an inclusive environment that caters to the needs of bleisure travellers. Big data analytics is critical to personalised individual marketing and strategy, enhancing customer loyalty and satisfaction.
