Recently, entrepreneurship research has increasingly focused on the concept of neurodiversity. Amid this growing scholarly interest, there is still a significant gap in understanding neurodiverse conditions and their neurobiological basis within entrepreneurship. Here, we address these gaps by performing a systematic literature review (SLR) with bibliometric tools to systematize and synthesize the current state-of-the-art of knowledge related to neurodiversity in entrepreneurship. Building on this knowledge, we discuss the neurobiological bases of three of the most prevalent neurodiverse conditions in entrepreneurship research, notably attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, and bipolar disorders. We conclude by contending that integrating an organizational neuroscience perspective into entrepreneurship and neurodiversity research will provide a more cohesive understanding, benefiting both theory and practice.
