While research on neurodiversity in entrepreneurship increases, the relationship between attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)-related symptoms and challenges associated with entrepreneurial teams remains an unexplored topic. This is problematic as ADHD symptoms contribute to interpersonal problems such as relationship conflict, yet neurodivergent entrepreneurs are often tasked with building entrepreneurial teams. This chapter theorizes that the family systems construct differentiation of self as a potential mitigating factor that can increase entrepreneurial team functioning while helping to overcome some of the interpersonal challenges commonly associated with ADHD.
