In the context of the global push for sustainable development, this study examines the state of sustainability in Greek sports organizations. The implementation of sustainability practices within Greek sports organizations remains limited despite the country’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By interviewing managers from various sports organizations, including professional clubs, municipal organizations, fitness centers, and federations, the research reveals modest efforts to achieve environmental, social, and economic sustainability. Key actions include energy conservation initiatives, social inclusion programming, and limited technological advances. Challenges such as limited resources and lacking comprehensive policies hinder progress. Findings highlight the need for increased government support, stakeholder engagement, and innovative strategies to strengthen Greek sport’s sustainability practices toward 2030 SDG alignment.
