This chapter examines the fragmented relationship between academic research and educational practices in England. Despite the increasing emphasis on evidence-informed practices, a significant gap persists. The chapter explores initiatives aimed at bridging this divide. It argues that effective communication channels, the strategic use of technology and knowledge broker, as well as the ethical commitment to education, are essential for fostering a meaningful connection between research and practice. Ultimately, the chapter suggests that a more collaborative and context-sensitive approach can enhance teaching effectiveness and student outcomes in a world increasingly complex and difficult to navigate as educators.
