Abstract
Examining Black Male Leadership in Education Through the Gaze of Black Women Educators (BWEs) explores the continuum of diverse leadership roles of Black male educators (BMEs) in the United States, including instructional, teacher, and community leadership. Through interviews with seven BMEs from various communities, this chapter highlights their experiences and insights as viewed through the perspectives of BWEs. The commentary emphasizes the importance of inclusive and effective engagement of Black males in the American education system, aiming to enhance cultural competence, community engagement, and resilience. By amplifying BMEs’ experiences, this chapter provides valuable guidance for recruiting and retaining BMEs, addressing their under-representation, and fostering positive change in education and society.
