In today’s dynamic business scenario, when there is so much hyper-competition and digital disruption, the integration of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) in the enterprise metaverse has proved wonders. This paper is focused on finding and examining potent ways in which these technologies can enhance innovation, integration, and performance across diverse sectors and industries. Manufacturing, healthcare, and education sectors are mainly analyzed to find how VR and AR have enabled seamless generation and communication of complex ideas and provided enhanced visualization and dashboards for quick and effective decision-making. The manufacturing sector is aided by AR through next-level training and maintenance; health care is benefitted by VR in rehabilitation for patients, medical training, and treatments; and the education sector makes use of VR for high-level simulations and experiential learning, thus enhancing capacity to improve information retention and engagement. In this paper, a combination of mixed methods is deployed, integrating both quantitative and qualitative studies. Structured interviews and surveys were conducted with analysts and professionals from diverse sectors like health care, manufacturing, and education. Despite the uncountable benefits of VR and AR in the enterprise metaverse, this paper also discusses various barriers and challenges such as increased initial and implementation costs, data security, ethical considerations, user-friendliness, and acceptance. The paper concludes by discussing future potential and industry adoption trends, along with recommendations for best practices and future research, so as to optimize the value of VR and AR within the enterprise metaverse.
