This chapter highlights the inspiring journey of three accomplished women of color who graduated from a prestigious Historically Black College and University (HBCU) and a Predominantly White Institution (PWI). The authors share their experiences as they transition from adjunct faculty to full-time educators in the Birth through Kindergarten Education department, where they found purpose and passion in early childhood education. Through their narrative, they shed light on the challenges and triumphs faced by underrepresented faculty members in higher education, emphasizing the significance of mentorship, perseverance, and the transformative power of education.
