In an era where technology permeates every aspect of professional life, the challenge of maintaining presence and mental clarity at work has never been more acute. This chapter explores how human–computer interaction (HCI) technologies can harmonise efficiency with mindfulness, offering a compelling roadmap for cultivating wellness in digitally saturated work environments. By analysing innovations such as artificial intelligence (AI)-driven wellness applications, biofeedback wearables, and immersive virtual reality (VR) environments, we present a conceptual and practical framework for integrating mindfulness into organisational systems. Grounded in self-determination theory, technology acceptance model (TAM), and mindfulness-based stress reduction theory, this chapter highlights how organisations can adopt and personalise HCI tools to boost employee engagement, reduce burnout, and promote cognitive flexibility – without sacrificing productivity. It ends with a call to reimagine the nature of work itself, where digital transformation and human well-being coalesce.
