The rising concern about health and wellness has increased the growth of nature-based health tourism (NBHT). Although this type of tourism is still a niche market, it is vital in promoting sustainable tourism development. It is related to integrated natural resources and tourism activities and promotes health and wellness. This concept has become an interesting topic for tourism scholars and the interest of tourism practitioners due to its utmost benefits, so there is a need to understand the models, components, and significance of this type of tourism. This chapter aims to conceptualize a unique model for NBHT based on synthesizing the existing model on this topic. Besides, by reviewing the existing understanding and the current state of knowledge in NBHT, this chapter proposes to identify the components and the significance of this specific type of tourism. Therefore, this chapter offers theoretical and practical contributions to advance knowledge and gives additional practical insights and expertise for promoting and developing NBHT.
