In this chapter, we examine identity exploration for emerging college students specific to autistic individuals who also identify as LGBTQ+. We also consider the unique developmental phase of early college and the context of communities of support for these individuals as well as strategies for promoting resilience within this population. This chapter will conclude with a case illustration of a transgender female with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), utilizing Minority Stress Theory as a framework for further consideration and discussion (Meyer, 2003).
