Abstract
This chapter examines the influence of managers’ interests on the adoption of innovative business decisions in the process of reorganisation. Special attention is paid to the influence of dynamic abilities of managers on the effectiveness of innovations. The authors describe the role of personal characteristics of managers and their willingness to take risks in the process of making and implementing innovative decisions. The survey of managers at different levels allowed us to conclude that innovation management is determined not only by resource limitations but also by personal characteristics and dynamic abilities of managers. Management’s reluctance to take on innovative risks often delays the process of implementing innovative solutions in reorganisation and reduces its effectiveness. The dynamic competence of management plays a decisive role in identifying new opportunities for the company and forming a resource base.
