In this chapter, the author outlines the use of Minecraft Education to create a virtual environment for students to participate in an economic simulation at the high school setting. The simulation focuses on several economic concepts. These economic concepts include specialization, globalization, absolute advantage, and comparative advantage. These economic concepts connect to indicators found in the C3 Framework by the National Council for the Social Studies with best practices for economic education at the high school level. The author offers guidance on creating the virtual environment, outlines for scripts, resources for teaching the unit, and instructions for teachers to utilize in their high school economics classroom.
