Abstract
The quality of financial reports is a critical factor for corporate efficiency and investor decision-making. Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven systems can enhance the accuracy of reports while reducing the time required for data processing. However, AI implementation comes with challenges, all of which are crucial for the widespread adoption of this technology. This chapter aims to analyze the efficiency of AI-based financial reporting and identify the challenges and limitations of its application. Another key objective is to outline the benefits of AI-driven reporting and explore potential development directions.
Although AI plays an increasing role in financial reporting, the following three research questions remain open: 1. How accurate and reliable are AI-generated financial reports? 2. What differences exist between manual and AI-driven reports? 3. What ethical and regulatory challenges arise from the use of AI in financial reporting? This chapter employs both qualitative and quantitative methods.
Literature review, empirical data analysis, processing of case studies and analysis of companies that utilize AI-driven financial reporting. This chapter also examines regulatory compliance, transparency and ethical concerns related to AI-driven financial reporting. Research results and expected contributions: accuracy, reliability, and time saving of AI-generated financial reports, and the exploration of regulatory compliance and ethical challenges.
