Abstract
The aim of this study is to review and clarify the existing literature on digital transformation (DT) adoption and its impact on firm performance, utilizing the Technology-Organization-Environment framework. Clarifying the relative advantages, Business Strategy and Regulatory framework impact on the adoption of DT and improving firm performance eventually, are the aims of this study. Literature indicated the essential role of DT for accounting practices like enhancing internal control and transparency, improving the quality of financial reporting and prevention of fraud. The long-term success of DT initiatives is crucial for successful strategy implementation and improved performance.
