The pandemic of COVID-19 is still ongoing at the time of writing this book, and it will continue to be a threat for a long time to the achievement of SDG9. The industry is striving to be resilient from the wide disruptions triggered by the COVID-19 crisis. How the future is likely to unfold cannot be predicted. However, there is much to do before the COVID-19 pandemic is a thing of the past. The goal is to return to the new normal with equality in each region of the planet. As vaccination increases, the industry is preparing to reconnect with suppliers and customers in a new normal. All industry sectors are putting the pieces back together by carrying out concrete measures to build resilience in the three sustainability dimensions as the best option to advance towards inclusion and sustainable industrialisation.
