In response to fast-moving institutional, environmental, or societal changes that impact teaching and learning in higher education institutions, faculty development organizations sometimes struggle to pull together appropriate support resources in a timely manner. This chapter focuses on a rapid resource development strategy adopted at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill during the COVID-19 pandemic that leveraged the strengths of both faculty members and the campus faculty development center. We sought to tap into existing communities of practice by inviting instructors to share their successful teaching strategies with others through a centralized website, called Remote Teaching Fieldnotes. Here we discuss our approach to building, maintaining, and promoting this new resource.
