“We’ve worked damn hard to overcome the initial resistance and inertia,” said Darcy. She was furious. “Management is pulling the rug out from under us. The original committee set up to run this has been abandoned. I’m running around like a mad woman, trying to make decisions and find money. It’s ridiculous.”

Kirsi was no less angry. Computer hardware and infrastructure support were causing problems and now their Sakai programmer, who had been invaluable in getting the project to implementation stage, had taken a job overseas and management did not seem willing to find an appropriate replacement.

“How can we run a successful and fair trial of this system with this kind of support? They are replacing Brendon with two part-time help-desk personnel!” a frustrated Kirsi muttered.
