Fiona was my work colleague’s daughter. I met Fiona in her own home and she told me of her experience of life and an attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) diagnosis.
Fiona started her career in education as a teaching assistant and had grown and developed herself into a promoted position of Assistant Headteacher. Fiona is explicit about how she describes her journey of progression, professional jealously and the struggles with her own mental health and well-being. Her later diagnosis of ADHD is a reminder of how ADHD is misinterpreted as a neurodivergent condition. Professional conscious bias is evident in Fiona’s story and further displays the actions of dangerous professionals.
