This chapter discusses the role and place of African epistemologies in the intercultural and inclusive education system. Whether African or European, education philosophies pursue a common purpose and goal and address common intercultural and educational problems. Equally, it should be agreed that African and European philosophies can complement and supplement each other. African epistemologies are a means to educate because they are a branch of philosophy concerning knowledge and cognition. They focus on answering the how, why and what questions. We should be mindful that education is crafted or modelled on Western practices and beliefs that proponents of Western philosophies know and understand best. In order to be able, therefore, to change the education system for the better, Africans have to first gain influence and ascendance over that education system and then mould education into a model Africans prefer, one they love, understand and is genuinely relevant to them.
