This chapter presents the author's recommendations which are based on the review of the literature in Part 1, and the findings from the study presented in Part 2. The recommendations are also informed by the findings from the evaluation of the workshops held in collaboration with European Network for Academic Integrity. These recommendations include: a regional and national approach to academic integrity; an academic integrity inventory for all institutions; formalizing the structures for academic integrity within each institution; the creation of academic integrity and GenAI policies for all institutions; and education in both academic integrity and AI. The recommendations also present the need to revise assessment practices and engage in a targeted approach to the development of critical thinking skills. These recommendations, if adopted, should create the context in which students learn to use GenAI tools responsibly in alignment with policy guidelines and faculty instructions, so that academic integrity is not compromised.
