This chapter explores the multifaceted dimensions of a complex psychiatric condition defined by pervasive instability in emotional expression, interpersonal dynamics, and behavioral regulation. Although it affects a relatively small percentage of the population, the disorder’s clinical and social ramifications are disproportionately significant. Symptom variability, comorbidity, and high emotional reactivity complicate both diagnosis and treatment. The chapter examines contemporary therapeutic modalities, such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, alongside psychopharmacological options, emphasizing the importance of tailored interventions. Additionally, it critically addresses the impact of social prejudice and misinformation, which frequently obstruct access to adequate care and deepen emotional suffering. Emphasis is placed on the need for deeper inquiry into internal processes and subjective meaning-making to inform more humane and effective clinical practices. This research aims to contribute to a more inclusive understanding by integrating current clinical knowledge with experiential insight, ultimately seeking to improve psychosocial outcomes for those affected.
