In an era where organisations strive for operational excellence and sustained competitive advantage, the role of Design for Lean Six Sigma (DFLSS) has become increasingly critical. DFLSS offers a structured, data-driven approach to designing or redesigning processes, products, and services to meet customer requirements and minimise variability. While Lean Six Sigma (LSS) focuses primarily on reducing variation in existing processes, DFLSS proactively ensures that quality and customer satisfaction are built into designs from the outset. The methodology significantly reduces the likelihood of downstream defects and inefficiencies, ultimately lowering costs and enhancing customer satisfaction (Bhat et al., 2022; Dzulinski et al., 2023).
