This review examines modelling strategies for addressing climate-related hazards in vulnerable coastal areas. It begins by introducing the growing urgency of climate adaptation and outlines key concepts in multi-risk assessment. This chapter then explores integrated modelling frameworks that capture the complex interactions among hazards and disasters through multi-risk assessment. Particular emphasis is placed on participatory modelling and the role of communities in shaping adaptive responses. By bridging technical and participatory approaches, the review proposes integrated frameworks for effective adaptation. It concludes by highlighting strategies to enhance coastal resilience through inclusive, data-informed planning and integrated approaches to resilience building in coastal regions.
