The multi-dimensional analysis considers the grouping of the 198 cities and communities included in the study. The eight groups align with the existing climate zones in the United States. Considering the other classification factors (the impact of water and population size), each group include a maximum of six sub-groups. Therefore, 48 sub-groups were formed to find commonalities in areas of performance. The 48 sub-groups were analyzed at the criterion level. The analysis for each sub-group included the following areas: a) general information and group description; b) description of sustainability, climate action, and resilience plans designed and implemented by each population center; c) description of the common criteria among the population centers; d) comparison between the criteria included in the sustainability, climate action, and resilience plans and the criteria included in ISO 37120:2018; e) analysis of the relevance of climate, bodies of water, and population; and f) discussion on the preparedness score assigned to each population center.
