1: Leadership and Thriving: Starting the Journey

This chapter serves as an introduction to the book. It discusses the significance of thriving, which is evolving energetically, as a way to learn leadership. Time is spent on leadership as a process that includes leader(s) and follower(s) in a specific context. Emphasis on how leadership can be learned, anyone can engage in leadership, how there are various ways to lead, and how management skills are needed in balanced leadership are also addressed in this chapter.
