This chapter explores key aspects of thriving and how continuous growth is critical for learning. Specific factors of thriving are introduced in this chapter to provide a foundation of further explore in context of leadership in later chapters. These aspects of thriving include environmental mastery, growth mindset, emotional intelligence, meaning and purpose, relationships, accomplishments, innovation, engagement, resilience, and self-efficacy.
