Most statistical evaluations require the use of randomly assigned subjects. The random variable consists of values that are obtained as a result of a chance mechanism. For example, regarding the determination of monthly income levels, if the monthly income of randomly selected people is obtained, the random variable can be found from the monthly income values formed from the said measurements. As we do not know what their monthly income will be before the selection is made, it is called random selection because the measurement value is obtained as a result of a selection with the chance factor.
