Abstract
Foreign direct investment (FDI) has become an important macroeconomic instrument with which developing countries continuously rely on to catalyze their economic potential and capabilities, subject to their absorptive capacities. This chapter examines the case of a group of developing countries (Sri Lanka, Philippines, Vietnam, and India) and concludes with recommendations on how individual governments can leverage on FDI for economic growth and development.
