Report on the 23rd annual Charleston Conference 2003

This paper outlines some of the topics covered at the 2003 Charleston Conference, November 2003, whose theme was “Issues in book and serial acquisition: games people play”. Issues addressed were concerns about the cost of electronic resources and the need for digitization of library resources.
